Frequently Asked Questions – Mobile Detailing Services in San Diego County

What is mobile detailing, and how does it work?

Mobile detailing is a professional car cleaning service that comes directly to your home, office, or location of choice. At Duran Detailing, we bring all the tools, products, and equipment needed to perform high-quality detailing on-site. You don’t have to wait at a shop — we detail your vehicle while you go about your day.

Do I need to provide water or electricity?

In most cases, we bring everything necessary, including water tanks and generators. If your location does not allow generator use or you prefer we hook up to your utilities, just let us know — we can accommodate either setup.

How long does a typical detailing service take?

It depends on the service and vehicle size. Our Signature Wash takes about 1.5–2 hours, while services like Full Interior Details or Odor Removal can take 3–5 hours. Paint correction, tint, and ceramic coatings typically require more time and may be drop-off only.

What types of vehicles do you work on?

We service all types: sedans, coupes, trucks, SUVs, commercial vans, luxury cars, and more. We even offer specialized pricing for commercial and oversized vehicles.

What is ceramic coating and why should I consider it?

Ceramic coating is a protective layer that bonds with your vehicle’s paint, offering long-term defense against UV rays, water spots, dirt, and light scratches. It enhances shine and makes maintenance much easier. We offer professional ceramic coatings for both paint and leather interiors.

How long does ceramic coating last?

Depending on the product and aftercare, our ceramic coatings can last anywhere from 2 to 5 years. We’ll walk you through proper maintenance and washing practices to help preserve your investment.

Do you offer automotive window tinting?

Yes! We provide high-quality automotive tinting with multiple shades and film types, including ceramic window tint. It helps reduce heat, block UV rays, and add privacy — at our drop-off location for better application.

What is PPF (Paint Protection Film) and how is it different from ceramic coating?

Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a clear, durable urethane film applied to high-impact areas of your vehicle. Unlike ceramic coatings, PPF physically absorbs damage from rock chips, scratches, and road debris. Ceramic coating enhances gloss and repels contaminants, while PPF offers physical barrier protection.

Can I drop off my car for larger services like ceramic coating or tint?

Yes! For intensive services like ceramic coatings, paint correction, tint, or PPF installations, we offer a drop-off option at our secure facility. This ensures the best results in a controlled environment.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major forms of payment including:

  • Credit & debit cards

  • Cash

  • Zelle

  • Venmo

  • Invoicing options for commercial clients

We make the payment process fast, easy, and secure.

Let’s work together.
